HOW DID YOU MEET ?

We met at the Granby Zoo, we both worked there as educators. We were the facilitators of a possible activity called ’zoo at night’. Families can book this package and they come when the zoo closes to visit the backstages and see the animals in the dark with a flashlight and they can sleep on site. These are special moments that we have with them and a wonderful experience. By doing this  activity, we developed a bond over the time. But it was only at the end of the summer, when Mélissa had to leave for another city after a new job, I’ve noticed how much i missed her. So we started writing to each other and after a few dates: voila.

HOW DID YOU LIVE YOUR WEDDING DAY?

Memorable, emotional, funny, festive, everything we had hoped for. The weekend was packed with activities as we had hoped. People participated well in everything we had planned for them. The marriage dragged on and people went to bed late as we expected, since we had rooms for the guests at the venue. So we were able to make the most of it during the whole event. Speeches were more than emotional like you can see in the video. People were Extremely festive. Just the right touch of humor everywhere. And finally incredible souvenir photos and videos allowing us to relive each of these moments.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT WITH MÉLISSA?

I had prepared a little surprise for Mélissa at the wedding, so it was my favorite moment, what I expected most. Unfortunately, several important people could not be present at the wedding, my brother’s wife, a bridesmaid, our original celebrant, a friend of Mel’s and another couple of important friends. They all prepared a video where they spoke to Mel to wish her a incredible wedding. As a surprise, at the end, Philippe Bond, Mel’s favorite comedian, also sent her a funny note to greet her. Mel wasn’t aware of that i teamed with Shown & Pléa (Authentik Weddings) to be sure to capture her reaction at that moment. For me  that was one the most heartwarming moment of the wedding for me.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE MOMENT WITH ALEX?

I loved the time spent taking the photos before the ceremony with Alex. The atmosphere with the family, the procession and  the simplicity of the moments with only Alex during our couple photos. We rented a greenhouse since our wedding was in March and we wanted to be sure to have a nice iontimate pictures no matter the weather. The presence of Shown & Pléa (Authentik weddings) made the moment intimate and simply enjoyable given their simplicity and ease. Despite the excitement of the moment, I have the sweet memory of an intimate moment despite the presence of a photographer and a videographer. And i am so glad to be able to relive those moments in photos and video.

By hiring Shown & Pléa (Authentik Weddings), we knew we would have fun while taking these photos. It would turn an ugly moment into one of the highlights of our wedding. After a “prewedding” session that they offered us, we felt that we were in the presence of long-time friends or even family through their outstanding . You may have an agreement with them, at the end, you will have much more than that as a surprise at the end. Basically, we knew that the results of photos and videos would be exceptional.
